Greater Nebraska Medical & 外科服务的历史始于20世纪70年代末. Drs. Raymond Olson, 唐纳德·威尔金森(Donald Wilkinson)和詹姆斯·贝恩(James Bane)从该县租赁了房产，并于1976年完成了Box Butte医疗中心的建筑, 就在新落成的博斯巴特综合医院北边.

该诊所和大楼于1990年由Box Butte总医院购买, 1997年，Box Butte医疗中心更名为Sandhills家庭中心.

In January of 2008, BBGH收购了Cody Medical Associates的业务, 将诊所的所有办公人员和医疗服务提供者整合到Sandhills家庭中心.

In May of 2009, BBGH获得联盟医疗中心的实践, PC, with Bruce Forney, MD, 加入了Sandhills家庭中心的工作人员.

2011年，BBGH将诊所的名称改为大内布拉斯加医疗中心 & 外科服务(GNMSS)，以更好地反映医院提供的额外医疗和外科专科.
